Observability Platform
This documentation is intended for the Observability Platform team. It covers the current service and the separate discovery of a future Observability Platform.

Current platform
The existing Observability Platform is hosted on Modernisation Platform and uses Amazon Managed Grafana. This is the current service; its architecture and runbooks remain documented here.
The current offering is intended to be retired in the future. No retirement date or migration timetable is announced here, and discovery does not mean the current service has closed.
These pages describe the existing platform and its decision records, not an approved architecture for the future solution.
New platform discovery
We are in discovery to understand how teams across Modernisation Platform, Cloud Platform, and other Ministry of Justice environments currently approach observability. We want to understand what works, where teams encounter difficulties, and what a future solution should support before deciding on an approach.
Discovery is not an announcement of a selected product or an available replacement service.
